Not Cool, Dude: Toronto Man Accused of Selling Fake Hip Tickets

In an apparent attempt to be branded as One of the Most Awful People in Canada, a Toronto man has been arrested and charged with selling fake Tragically Hip tickets through a post on Kijiji. Durham Police, following up on a tip from a Scarborough woman, set up a meeting with the seller. When the guy showed up, he ran and cops gave chase.

Coleman Ward has been charged with fraud under $5,000, escaping custody, resisting arrest and possession of proceeds of crime.

Durham Police released this statement: “Police would like to remind the public to be vigilant when purchasing venue tickets from non-authorized vendors or the Internet. There is no guarantee that the tickets are legitimate as they can be duplicated and sold as genuine.”
