Now That American Thanksgiving Is Over, We Can Move on to A Christmas Carol Performed in Klingon
For the fifth and final year, the Charles Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol will be performed in Chicago. What makes this particular version of the story interesting is that it’s told in Klingon.

I don’t know what would make this funnier: if the actors realized this is ridiculous and played it tongue in cheek or if the were professional and completely serious the whole way through the play. As a fan of both star wars and a trekkie (blasphemy I know….
The thing is, this is *not* ridiculous. I’ve seen it performed several times in Chicago and once in Cincinnati. There is certainly plenty of humor, and one or two moments of sincere silliness, but it is a serious production and it works well.
