WTF?

Now it’s Blue Öyster Cult vs. Donald Trump over an unhinged parody of “(Don’t Fear) the Reaper”

There was a time when being the President of the United States was a serious job for serious people. The goal was to serve all citizens, play by the rules of honour, follow the Constitution, and strive to lead the country in a positive direction.

Not Donald Trump. He trolls his enemies like some tenth-grade mean girl. It’s all about owning the libs, lying as easily as he breaths, ridiculing his opponents, and threatening those who would dare stand up to him. The man is a disgrace to the office and America.

The latest case is an unhinged parody, an AI-generated meme in which…well, you’ll see. I have no idea what the message is or who the intended audience may be. It’s confusing. Is Russell Vought (the man behind Project 2025) being praised or criticized here? Who gave JD Vance such high cheekbones? I guess we’ll have to ask the Dilley Meme Team, which likes to call itself “Trump’s online war machine.”

If we ever need LESS cowbell, this is it.

Blue Öyster Cult has responded to this, saying they were “not contacted in advance” and clarified that the song’s copyright is 100 percent owned by Sony Music, thus “BLUE ÖYSTER CULT has no legal right to either authorize or withhold usage.”

So yeah, they sold their catalogue to Sony. So Sony Music Entertainment: What’s your move?
