Oasis adds two more Wembley Stadium to their reunion tour to appease fans

Oasis took a lot of stick when tickets for their reunion tour went on sale this past Saturday (August 31). About 1.4 million tickets were sold, but not without controversy. Dynamic pricing–a situation where the algorithm raises (or lowers!) the price of a concert ticket based on market forces–came back to bite the Gallaghers on the ass. “A so-called working-class band is gougin’ its fans, innit?”

To make up for this, Oasis has added two more dates at Wembley Stadium, bringing the total nights at the venue to seven. (There’s a catch, though: Tickets will only be available to those who were unsuccessful at buying tickets over the weekend.

Of course, these shows will sell out in a snap, too. Over 10 million fans from 158 countries tried to buy tickets for the initial tranche of gigs. I’m betting that up to three more Wembley dates will be added. Demand will be there–plus nine shows will beat Taylor Swift’s recorded for a Wembley Stadium residency.

More details will be made available soon.
