Oasis fans are gearing up for the 25th anniversary of (What’s the Story) Morning Glory this Friday

Friday marks the 25 years since Oasis and Britpop hit its peak. The band’s second album blew up worldwide, selling somewhere north of 10 million copies. Naturally, the date has to be commemorated with a special box set.

There’s also a short film entitled Return to Rockfield, which is the studio in which Oasis made the record. Note the olive branch Noel seems to offer to Liam. Our Kid, though, is annoyed at allegedly being snubbed when it comes to any celebrations. He had some unflattering things to say about his big brother. Of course.

Finally, there will be an “official album playback and singalong event” starting at 6 pm BST (1 pm EDT in North America) on Friday. The goal is to showcase a recently remastered version of the album, music videos from the record, new interviews with Noel Gallagher, and a chance to sing along with everyone who’s tuned in through the band’s YouTube Channel.
