Oasis is a Gen X favourite. Here are streaming stats that prove it. (Oh, and Gen Z is also on board, too.)

The Oasis reunion has been greeted with much joy by Gen Xers who remember the Britpop of their youth. (Turns out that Gen Z has fallen in love with the band, too. Read about that here.)

Cam Gordon of the site Completely Ignored did a little digging to see which artists of the 1990s have had the most streams. The top ten looks like this:

  1. Nirvana (5,321,847,346 streams)
  2. Red Hot Chili Peppers (4,491,105,259)
  3. Oasis (3,889,969,579–and that’s climbing by the minute, thanks to the reunion news)
  4. Radiohead (2,814,552,286)
  5. Green Day (2,880,096,704)
  6. The Cranberries (2,710,590,639)
  7. Offspring (2,673,254,568)
  8. blink-182 (2,626,656,424)
  9. Foo Fighters (2,633,216,574)
  10. REM (2,467,954,102
