Oasis returns to the stage for the first time in 16 years. It went very well. VERY well. [Updated]

My sources tell me that this reunion was agreed upon in 2023. It took close to a year for all the details, legalities, and obligations to be worked out before anything could be announced. And it took almost another year to figure out how to stage this thing.

There were no warm-up gigs, no secret shows, no opportunities to work out any kinks. Instead, Oasis launched into their reunion tour in front of 75,000 without giving a f**k. Very on-brand, And they pulled it off, too. Fans were ecstatic and there are a lot of rave reviews like this.

I’ll just say it. At the moment, Oasis is the biggest band in the world. It’s the group everyone is talking about. They have nothing to slow down this tour. Taylor Swift is off the road. Bands like The Rolling Stones and U2 are still at home. Coldplay is still on their Music of the Spheres tour, but that’s been going on for so long, they’re built into the market.

Like it not, this is what we’re going to be talking about for the next six months. Me? I love it. No matter what you think of Oasis, it’s’ great to see some rock’n’roll swagger again.

Here’s the setlist.

  • Didn’t even think about it until you wrote it here. No warm up gigs, just some studio rehearsals and then right into 75k after 15 years. Could be why Noel kept having this look of relief after certain parts were over.
