Oasis tickets went on sale this morning. Then the fun started.
At 9 am GMT, Ticketmaster began selling tickets to the 17 Oasis reunion shows in the UK and Ireland. The demand on the servers was intense and some error messages were returned and fans got frustrated at long ways, but overall, the levees did not break.
That, however, doesn’t mean sales went smoothly.
It also appears that surge pricing was in effect.
There was a very, very big backup of people waiting to buy. Ticketmaster released a statement:
“As anticipated, millions of fans are accessing our site so have been placed in a queue. Fans are advised to hold their place in line, make sure they’re only using one tab, clear cookies and ensure they aren’t using any VPN software on their device.”
Meanwhile, Oasis fans are now turning on each other even as Noel’s daughter defends young fans. Maybe this should be called The Lord of the Flies Tour.
Do NOT be tempted to buy tickets from secondardy sites because you might be very, very sorry.
If you’re interested, he official merch for the tour has been unveiled. And finally, this made me laugh.
