I find Brian Eno’s Music for Airports one of the most relaxing pieces of music in my entire collection. At the complete other end of the spectrum is Lou Reed’s 1975 f-you to his record company, Metal Machine Music. It’s the most unlistenable thing I (or anyone else, for that matter) could own.
But hang on. Maybe MMM just needed to be cut properly, like heroin. That’s what Go Home Productions have done, blending Music for Airports together with MMM. Listen.
