Oh, Gawd. Taylor Swift and Britney Spears Rumoured for the Super Bowl

Yep. That’s the story. Camps for both Taylor Swift and Britney Spears are in “final talks” to be the halftime entertainment for Super Bowl 50 in Santa Clara, California (okay, San Francisco), on February 7, 2016. (Yes, it’s “Super Bowl 50” this year because the NFL knows that no one will get “Super Bowl L.”)

If I had to bet on which of these two women will get the gig, I’d go with Britney simply because Taylor has a big Diet Coke deal and the halftime show is sponsored by Pepsi. Britney, on the other hand, has a history of endorsements with Pepsi. And does anyone remember when she performed with Aerosmith in 2001?

Whatever they decide, please invite the Left Shark back.
