Radio

One of the coolest online indie rock radio stations on the planet is run by NASA. Yes, them.

A few years back, I was rooting around for something I could play on the back patio for a BBQ featuring some snooty hipster indie rock fans. That’s when I stumbled upon something odd on TuneIn Radio: An online station called Third Rock Radio.

It’s…fascinating. Run by NASA–yes, them–it features a steady stream of cool indie rock stuff punctuated by announcer breaks about various scientific endeavors.

Indie rock and science? Cool. The YouTube promo for the station? Maybe not.
