Koenigsegg, the Swedish supercar maker, is almost ready with the Regera, a 1479 BHP/1645 torques/25o mph hybrid monster, putting rivals like the Porsche 918, McLaren P1 and Ferarri LaFerarri in its sites.

The original show car version was blue, which was followed by a red prototype. Now that the car is about to go on sale, Steve Wade, Koenigsegg’s communication chief (and massive Prince fan, as it turns out) thought it was time to go purple.
