Here are a few fun facts about Arcade Fire that may have eluded your attention until now.

(1) Both Will and Win Butler were brought up as Mormons.

(2) Win Butler went to Northwestern University to study poetry, creative writing, and Slavic studies.

(3) Singer Win Butler’s actual first name is “Edwin.”

(4) The name Arcade Fire comes from a story Win heard about an actual arcade full of video games that was set on fire. That blaze happened in Exeter, Ontario.

And (5) The flute piece in the song “Everything Now” is taken from a track called “The Coffee Cola Song” by Cameroonian musician Frances Bebey.
