Ongoing History Daily: Billy Corgan’s musical father

Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins comes from a musical family. His father is a guitar player and was quite good. In fact, back in the 60s, he was invited to join a group called the Amboy Dukes.

He turned it down because the day job he had at the time was paying more than what he would make playing in a professional rock band. Anyway, the job eventually went to this crazy guy from Detroit named Ted Nugent, who, of course, is now known as a right-wing anti-vaxxer.

Makes you wonder what might have happened to Billy had dad decided on a full-time career in music.

Yesterday’s post was about why you should be listening to music at work.
