Ongoing History Daily: Feed Stone to the sharks

Here’s a question: when you finally go, what would like to see happen to your mortal remains.  Traditional burial?  Cremation? Shot into space?

Stone Gossard, guitarist for Pearl Jam, once professed that when he dies, he wants his body thrown to the sharks. Actually, this is a multi-stage process.  He says that first, he wants his body frozen—then thawed out, THEN thrown to the fish.

“I’ve been trying to talk to the band into making sure they follow through with this idea. No one else in the band has gone for the shark idea. I’m the only one who seems that macabre. Being tossed into the ocean seems like a good theory to me.”

This was years ago and was apparently dead serious about it all.  I wonder if he’s since changed his mind?
