Ongoing History of New Music

Ongoing History Daily: Jack White facts

Jack White is an interesting guy, what with his work with The White Stripes, The Dead Weather, The Raconteurs, his solo work, Third Man Records, and everything else he’s got going. And there’s more.

Jack is into collecting stuffed animal heads. He still likes to upholster furniture, something that he got into back in the early 90s. His house has its own three-lane bowling alley. That’s where his friends keep their personalized bowling balls.

And he’s a collector of comic books. Jack owns a copy of Action Comic No. 1 from June 1938, which features the first-ever appearance of Superman. A similar copy sold on eBay in 2014 for more than US$3.2 million.
