Here are a few things you need to know about Modest Mouse.

(1) This band has been around in one form or another since 1993. They were formed in Issaquah, Washington, which is a suburb of Seattle.

(2) Drummer Jeremiah Green once took a leave of absence back in 2003 because he had a nervous breakdown. Don’t worry. He’s fine.

(3) Johnny Marr of The Smiths, was a member of the band between 2006 and 2009. When he left, there was a long recording hiatus as the band tried to figure out how to proceed without him.

(4) singer Isaac Brock spent a good amount of time growing up in “the Shed,” a structure built onto his parents’ trailer.

And (5), did I mention that he once earned money posing as a nude model and took part in medical experiments?
