Ongoing History Daily: Nicholas Cage’s grunge and horror movie nights

Nicholas Cage is one of Hollywood’s most…colourful actors. He’s also a major music fan who also happens to love scary movies and old comic books.

Years ago, he used to host nights at his house where invited guests would settle in for an evening of horror movies. It started with Kirk Hammett of Metallica, one of the most hardcore horror movie fans in the world, along with Tom Waits. Then Johnny Ramone became part of the circle and he brought in Eddie Vedder. And somewhere along the time, Rob Zombie started showing up.

They’d all spend the evening watching old horror movies and browsing through Cage’s collection of comic books. Try to imagine what one of those evenings must have been like.
