Ongoing History Daily: Noel Gallagher does a bad thing at 10 Downing Street

At the height of Britpop, no band was bigger than Oasis.  And few people could party as hard or as, er, inappropriately as Noel Gallagher.

At one point in 1997, he was asked ‘round to No. 10 Downing Street to meet with Prime Minister Tony Blair.  It was a posh reception for…something and since the PM was a big rock fan, he invited some of his favourite musicians.  At some point in the evening, Noel excused himself and found himself in a toilet reserved exclusively for the Queen when she visited the Prime Minister.  It was there that he decided to snort a little coke.

Not exactly the protocol one follows in the monarch’s loo, is it?
