Ongoing History Daily: Stabbing The Offspring

Back in the early days of The Offspring, the band played some pretty intense gigs. One show had them opening for an LA punk band called Final Conflict.

For some reason, a bunch of skinheads decided to crash the show. They tried to break into the venue as the people working on the door barricaded the place with a table. Noodles, the band’s guitarist, thought he’d try to mellow things out and negotiate some piece. But when he got to the door, someone reached in and stabbed him in the arm.

A few stitches fixed the injury, but he was grateful for being able to get out of the situation without things getting worse.

Missed yesterday? It was about how Arcade Fire went all-analogue when recording The Suburbs.
