Ongoing History Daily: The David Bowie book club

When he was alive, David Bowie was a voracious reader: novels, history, biography, art, the classics, philosophy, politics, economics—you name it, Bowie read it. Sometimes he’d become so engrossed in something that he’d read a book a day.

Now his son, Duncan, has launched an online project with an Instagram account called “Bowie Book Club.” He’s able to do this because three years before he died, Bowie made a list of the one hundred books that he believed transformed his life.
