Ongoing History Daily: The Goth burger

Once upon a time Burger King Japan served something called the Kuro Burger. It comes in a black bun made from bamboo charcoal, with black cheese (more bamboo charcoal), a patty with lots of black pepper and even black special sauce, which uses squid ink to get that colour.

There’s also the Kuro Diamond, which is a little less, uh, black, because it features tomatoes and lettuce, two foods the Japanese haven’t yet learned to turn black.

Why do I bring this up?  Because these burgers were called the most metal and the most Goth fast food items ever conceived by man. Both were available for only a limited time and in Japan only.

I wonder if they’ve ever brought it back or tried it out in other countries?
