Ongoing History Daily: The most metal words in the English language

About ten years ago, a data scientist analyzed 222,623 songs by 7,364 metal bands. Using the techniques of natural language processing, he was able to identify the words most often used in metal songs. I guess that means we can classify these as the most metal words in the English language.

Here are the top five words that appear in metal tracks: (5) Breathe; (4) Eternity; (3) Veins; (2) Cries. And the most metal word of all? At number one, it’s “burns.”

What are the least metal words?  The top three are “Secretary,” “Indicated,” and “Particularly.”
