Ongoing History Daily: The Ramones meet The Flintstones

If you’re old enough—or if you have a thing for vintage cartoons—you’ll remember The Flintstones, an animated series that debuted on ABC in September 1960 and ran for 166 original episodes. It’s been in syndication on and off ever since.

In 1976, The Ramones released their debut album, which included a song called Listen to My Heart. Years later, an animator who goes by the name Neil-W created a video that put The Ramones in Flintstones world. They appeared in a Stone Age club called “BCGB.” Geddit?

And while you’re there, check out a group called The Magic Sponge who have a song called “When the Flintstones (Met the Ramones).” Who knew that they had so much in common?
