Ongoing History Daily: Weird Kurt tales

Because the world’s fascination with Kurt Cobain doesn’t seem to be letting up, let me offer these little-known facts.

(1) Kurt used to keep pet turtles in a bathtub in the middle of his living room. The only problem was that he didn’t like cleaning up the turtle poop.  He and a friend (which may have been Dave Grohl) solved that problem by drilling a drain hole through the living room floor. I wonder where it led?

(2) Kurt liked to set fire to things when he was bored.

(3), when Kurt and Courtney tried to hire housekeepers for their Seattle house, they had a lot of trouble finding someone because they were a little, er, untidy.  One man apparently took one look at the situation and ran out screaming “Satan lives here!”

Yesterday’s post involved the Radiohead TENspiracy.
