Ongoing History of New Music Daily: Fall Out Boy Facts

Here are a couple of facts about Fall Out Boy that may have escaped your attention until now.

(1) The band subscribes to all-for-one, one-for-all philosophy. All revenues are shared equally in four ways, even if one member writes an entire song.

(2) Their first gig was in a cafeteria at DePaul University. They played Black Sabbath’s self-titled album in its entirety. That was it.

(3) The song “Thnks Fr Th Mmrs” has no vowels in the title because their record company wanted them to write songs with shorter titles.

(4) Patrick Stump has synesthesia, which means to him, most letter and numbers have color associations.

And (5) Patrick and Pete Wentz hold the record for the most interviews performed by a duo in 24 hours. They managed to squeeze in 74.
