Ongoing History of New Music Daily: X Ambassadors facts

Here are some facts about X Ambassadors that may have escaped your attention up until now.

  • First, we can probably say that they were discovered by Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons. He was in the hospital when he noticed their Kickstarter campaign to finance their first single. He thought they were so good that he insisted that the Imagine Dragons’ label sign them as soon as possible. Dan would later co-write with them and take secure and opening slot for them on an Imagine Dragons tour.
  • Point number 2: They had to add the “X” to their name when they found out there was already a band called “Ambassadors.”
  • And number 3: They did not write the song “Renegades” for that Jeep commercial. The song was already done when Jeep approached their label looking for a song.
