Ottawa’s Canada Day 2025 lineup has been announced
Canada Day is always a big deal in the nation’s capital, but given all the noise, abuse, and disrespect we’ve had to endure from south of the border, this year’s festivities at LeBreton Flats Park are going to be extra-loud.
This is from the Department of Canadian Heritage:
“The July 1 festivities will allow us to celebrate our unity and express our national pride, while affirming our sovereignty, our identity and our culture. More than ever, this year is the perfect opportunity to wave our flag proudly and show the world what makes the True North strong and free. Canadians are encouraged to take part in celebrations in their communities across the country and in the heart of Canada’s Capital Region.”
The noon national ceremony will feature Amanda Marshal, Thompson Egbo-Egbo, Rafaelle Roy, and Alli Walker. Then in the event, we’ll see:
- Sarah McLachlan
- Tom Cochrane
- TALK
- Coeur de Pirate
- Mitsou
- Amanda Marshal
- Roch Voisine
- Randy Bachman
- Billie du Page
- Edith Butler
- Dumas and Ivan Boivin-Flamand

Auxiliary events will be held in
- Summerside PEI with Blue Rodeo
- Vancouver with Dear Rouge and Alex Wells
