Ozzfest Meets Knotfest Festival Set for September

On September 24 and 25 Ozzy Osbourne and Slipknot are joining forces for a US music festival. Held at the San Manuel Amphitheater and Festival Grounds in San Bernardino, the event has been officially dubbed as “Ozzfest Meets Knotfest”. The announcement about the festival was made at a Hollywood press release that was recorded and Osbourne posted to Facebook.

Already, over 40 acts have been announced to play during the two-day festival. These bands include Disturbed, Megadeth, Opeth, Black Label Society, Children of Bodom, Hatebreed, Slayer, and Anthrax, plus many others. Black Sabbath will be headlining Saturday’s Ozzfest for their last ever California show. Slipknot will close out the weekend on the Sunday.

Ozzy Osbourne announced the festival on Ozzfest’s 20th anniversary and said: “We are here to create havoc and history. Let the madness begin”.

Slipknot’s Corey Taylor stated: “”This could be the one of the coolest things I’ve ever been a part of”. Bandmate Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan added: “”Playing with Black Sabbath is always an honour. Merging both festivals will be a legendary experience that will be life-changing for all fans. We are excited to bring all the families together again”.
