Pearl Jam has a new vinyl EP inspired by HBO’s The Rest of Us
Inspiration can come from anywhere. In the case of this new four-track vinyl EP from Pearl Jam, they were moved to write some songs about The Last of Us, the HBO show where a fungus turns everyone into zombies.
This limited-edition release will include:
- “Future Version” (studio version from 2013’s Lightning Bolt)
- “All or None” (studio version from 2002’s Riot Act)
- “Future Days” (live at Eddie Vedder’s Ohana Festival from last year)
- “Present Tense (Redux)” (originally from 1996’s No Code.)
Given that Pearl Jam has shown up a bunch of times in the series (for example, Joel played “Future Days” for Ellie, and Eddie played the same song at the 2020 Game Awards when The Last of Us video game was nominated), it’s logical that Pearl Jam are fans of the show.
