Petition Launched to Stop Morrissey from Disappointing Fans Ever Again

God bless ya, Mozzer, but we’re tired of all these tour cancellations.  This sort of behaviour has been going on far too long–since 1991, in fact. In the last 12 years, you’ve bailed on a total of 96 shows.  NINETY-SIX

I realize that you’ve often been unwell.  But what’s with all the colds and respiratory infections?  Please, Steven, you need to look after yourself better.

Until you shape up–for your sake as well as the fans’–stay home.  Stop touring.  We’re serious.  There’s even a petition launched at We the People.

English singer-songwriter Morrissey is abusing his massive U.S. fan base by persistently canceling concerts and entire tours. On June 10th, 2014 the singer announced that the remaining nine shows of his current U.S. tour would be cancelled due to a “nasty cold” that he claimed to have caught from a member of his opening act (which she has since denied). Last year, Morrissey cancelled 28 U.S. concerts, and 14 abroad. In 2012, he postponed and cancelled the entire U.S. leg of his world tour (26 shows). The list goes on.Luckily, fans of his cancelled concerts do receive refunds, however, it’s time that we stop idolizing the aging idol who clearly doesn’t give a damn about his American fans. He’s the worst and we should cancel his tours before he has the opportunity to do so himself.

We love you, Moz, but please stop screwing with us, okay?

  • You, my dear are a diluted crackpot! We are fortunate Morrissey still does his best to be on tour. Why don’t you stop your whining and enjoy the music!

  • I love the idea , over the last week there are so many fans , long standing enduring fans that are sick and tired of Morrissey’s lack of responsibility , accountability , and respect for his fans ….
