Phil Campbell of Motorhead has died. He was 64.

Phil Campbell, the longest-surviving member of Motorhead, has joined Lemmy. The cause of death was complications from some sort of surgery.

Phil met Lemmy when he was just 12 he the latter was still in Hawkwind. Six years later, ihe auditioned for a the spot left in Motorhead when guitarist Brian Robertson left. and got it. Phil’s first record with the band was 1986’s Orgasmatron. He served in the band until the end.
