Pink Floyd’s Animals finally gets the remix/reissue treatment

If you’re a hardcore Pink Floyd fan, you probably have the special box sets issues for Dark Side the Moon, Wish You Were Here, The Wall, and a few others. Missing from the shelf has been Animals from 1977. That’s now about to be fixed.

Come September 16 (followed by a super-deluxe edition on October 6), Animals will be available in a new 5.1 surround version on SACD (yes, they still make them) as well as DVD and Blu-Ray. A new CD version will be available, too. Here’s what we can expect in the various formats. (Oh, and note the new album artwork.)
