The Pixies Can’t Stop Releasing New Music. There’s Another New EP.

After going nearly a decade with nary a new track, the Pixies have become rather regular with new releases.

First, we had EP-1, which featured the excellent “Bagboy.”  Now comes EP-2, another four-track release featuring songs that were record in Wales in 2012.  Yes, 2012.  That means Kim Deal plays on these songs.  Find ’em all here.

The lead-off track is called “Blue-Eyed Hexe,” which has sort of a “U-Mass” feel crossed with Terry Gilliam-esque visuals for the video–which is perfectly all right with me.  Let’s have a look/listen, shall we?

And let’s not forget that the Pixies start a new North American tour in Toronto on the 15th.

  • Two points of order – bagboy was released as a standalone track prior to EP1 (and is therefore not included on it) and it’s been established by Black Francis that Kim Deal didn’t play on the final recorded versions of any of the new pixies tracks.
