Please tell me no one is dumb enough to buy tickets to Fyre Festival II

The first Fyre Festival was such a scam and legal boondoggle that at least two documentaries were made about it and its founder, Billy McFarland, was sent to jail for fraud. Now that he’s out, he’s going to try it again.

Fyre Festival II is now on sale with tickets starting at US$499 and going all the way up to US$7,999. What can the punters expect?

  • Date: Uh, we don’t know yet.
  • Location: No idea. Honduras, Belize, Jamaica, Panama, and the Turks and Caicos are “being considered.
  • Confirmed acts: None.
  • Rumoured acts: None

So what can we expect? McFarland says “Karate combat on the beach, I think that would be amazing.”

He also told the Wall Street Journal “It’s going to be very hard to get other opportunities, whether that’s a marketing job, a podcast appearance, a TV show or a relationship.” Yeah. No sh*t.

  • A festival strictly for the influencers. Ugh.
