Pokemon: The 25th-anniversary album
Because I haven’t been paying attention, I was a little surprised to learn that the whole Pokemon thing has been around for 25 years. Naturally, a quarter-century of existence is cause for celebration.
The Pokemon Company has announced plans for a 14-song album this fall about…well, Pokemon things. So far, we know that Katy Perry, J Balvin, and Post Malone will be involved. Each has been asked to supply a song inspired by something related to Pokemon. Each will be accompanied by a music video and “an exclusive merchandise collection celebrating each artist and Pokemon.”
And speaking of Malone, he starred in a global Pokemon concert.
