Police in P.E.I. Threaten to Torture Drunk Drivers with Nickelback

I’ve never understood the irrational hatred some people have for Nickelback. Okay, so you don’t like their music. But what have they ever done to become the whipping boys for rock snobs all over the world? Why are they such a punchline?

The latest bit of Nickelback bashing comes from the Kensington Police Department in PEI. In an effort to combat impaired driving–a very serious issue–they vowed (via Facebook) to play Nickelback’s Silver Side Up album for all individuals caught driving drunk as they’re taken to the station.

I quote: “We figure if you are foolish enough to get behind the wheel after drinking then a little Chad Kroeger and the boys is the perfect gift for you.”
