Post-Super Bowl mass shooting claims the life of a Kansas City radio announcer

Just as the victory celebrations for the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs was wrapping up, shots rang out outside the area of the city’s Union Station.

Twenty-two people were shot, including eleven children. The one fatality was Lisa Lopez-Galvan, an announcer KKFI, a community station dedicated to the local scene. The station confirmed her death with this Facebook post.
