Prince And Warner Bros Make Up

As some of you may recall, Prince and Warner Bros had one of the biggest fights in music history. Prince felt he was chained to Warner Bros and told the world this in tons of interviews, changing his name to an unpronounceable symbol and writing the word “slave” on his face for public performances.

Since then, Prince has released music his own way. Along the way, he’s done his best to keep his music his by taking people to court, taking his music off youtube and tons of other things.

And now, Prince and Warner Bros have kissed and made up. The new deal has Warner Bros releasing new material, unheard material, remasters (first up appears to be a remaster of Purple Rain) and most importantly for Prince, he now has control over the masters of his Warner Bros catalogue.

I guess you can go home again.
