Proof That 13 Hit Songs Sound Too Much Alike

We’ve all that that feeling of deja vu.  “This new song sounds like like an old one!”  It’s not your imagination. See?

Here’s another one that I noticed recently.  Let’s start with Cayucas.

Now let’s have a listen to “Yellobrite Smile” by Yoav.

Is it just me or are we running out of notes?

  • I have always like the Four Chord Song by Axis of Awesome… Proves that songs are not as unique as they appear…

  • This was moronic. Comparing Nickleback to Nickleback? Chad Krueger (sp? Don't care actually) hasn't had an original idea in over 10 years. Queen & Vanilla Ice? It's common knowledge that VI sampled Pressure. And the lawsuit between Huey Lewis and Ray Parker Jr. Is just as well known.

Well, apparently not to this witless pundit.. He should do a little more research.
