Punk is Alive and Well Living in Beijing

A couple of years ago, I found myself in a punk club with Seymour Stein, the guy who discovered the Ramones. The club was called D-22 and a parade of young, earnest Chinese punk bands performed throughout the night. It was fascinating and just a tad surreal.
