Pussy Riot Gives First Post-Jail Interview–And It’s a Bit Weird

Vladimir Putin may soon regret his showing of New Year’s amnesty for prisoners.  Being thrown in a Siberian jail isn’t enough to shut up Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alyokhina of Pussy Riot.  They were pretty outspoken in their first interview since being released from custody.

While neither is planning to enter politics in an official way, both say they will continue their human rights activism and campaigns for prisoners’ rights.  Tolokonnikova and Alyokhina also reiterated their call for a boycott of the Sochi Olympics.

So far, so good.  But when the interviewer started asking about what they planned to do with the Pussy Riot “brand,” things got a little weird. And a question about, er, eyebrows?  BuzzFeed has summarized things here.
