Quick: Name the World’s Oldest Pop Star (No, It’s Not Mick Jagger)

She’s Haru Yamashiro, a 97 year-old member of of a group called KGB84 (explanation: average age of the group is 84; it’s also a dig at the young Japanese Idol band called AKB48) which is currently blowing up in Japan. They’re having much success with a song called “Come Out and Dance, Kohama Island.” (That’s where they’re from: a Japanese island in the Pacific. It looks nice.)

KBG84 is currently in the middle of sold out tour of Japan. More at The Telegraph.
