Radio, Records & Rockstars: A New Book by Jeff Woods You Gotta Check Out

If you’re Canadian and into Classic Rock, then you’re probably familiar with The Legends of Classic Rock hosted by Jeff Woods. He is Canada’s vintage rock authority, having been at the centre of the conversation and context about this music for over 30 years.

Jeff’s extensive career in radio includes not only hosting The Legends of Classic Rock, but also programming radio stations and websites such as Toronto’s Q107, the FOX and Rock 101 in Vancouver, and launching the original brand known as The Bear in Edmonton. He is a seasoned live presenter with experience as a moderator, emcee, and keynote speaker. Jeff has owned and operated his own record store in Toronto called Discworks, done marketing and promotions for Columbia and EPIC at Sony Music Canada, and lent his voice to campaigns for companies such as Mercedes Benz, HSBC, and Harley Davidson.

Now, Jeff is adding author to his extensive resume.

His first work of non-fiction, Radio, Records & Rockstars takes an in-depth look at the lives of legendary rock stars and includes exclusive interviews. Learn about Stevie Nicks’ biggest regret, Angus Young’s heartfelt memories of Bon Scott, David Bowie’s in depth reflections on family and music, and Neil Peart’s insights into writing and motorbike riding.

Other interviews include the Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Ozzy Osbourne, Nikki Sixx, Joe Walsh, Courtney Love, RUSH, Steely Dan, Mark Knopfler, Bob Seger, Randy Bachman, George Thorogood, Carlos Santana, Bad Company’s Paul Rodgers, Jeff Beck, Ronnie Wood, Robbie Robertson, Sammy Hagar, and more.

The press release for the new book says:

Radio, Records & Rockstars is an honest, open and nostalgic romp through Jeff’s successful career in radio and the music business. Throughout, Woods reveals the unvarnished narrative of his own storied life: including all the moves – physically, romantically and professionally”.

The book’s cover is by award-winning Toronto photographer Matt Barnes and includes two sections of colour photos within.  A limited first edition of Radio, Records & Rockstars in hardcover and signed is now available through Jeff Woods’ website. The wide release of print and e-book is set for May 17 with the audio book soon to follow.
