  3. I hope Patti Smith is okay. She was hospitalized with a “sudden illness” on an Italian tour. (She’s out of the hospital now.)
  4. Universal Music Group, the biggest of all the major labels, is now worth US$50 billion.
  5. “Looks Like a Neo-Nazi Metal Band Inspired Kanye West’s New Album Art.” Wait–what?
  6. And Kanye may have pissed off The Backstreet Boys with his new album.
  7. Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson sang at a cocktail party. Again, what?
  8. Interested in REALLY expensive synthesizers? Check these out.
  9. Tay-Tay, the comic book. When will it all end?
  10. These forgotten bands were rather surprised when they went viral on TikTok. (There’s a Mother Mother mention here, but they’re hardly forgotten. Still, they were surprised.)
  11. This was the year Twitter died. Discuss.
  12. Is the 5-disc CD changer ready for a comeback? Yahama seems to think so.
  13. Some Ramones stuff is going up for auction for a good cause.

  • Oh man… I will buy that CD player.

    There’s been a missing mid-range for years where players are either $99 s**t or audiophile crap starting at $1000.

    I’ve been using a Playstation 2 since my PS3 died. Later Playstations don’t support CD audio.

  • Oops, they have the CD-S303 single-disc player too, $500-550 CAD. That’s probably good enough for me. Did not spot that one when trying to find a replacement player a few years ago.
