The Nicki Minaj/pushback against Saudis story is over 4 years old (which may as well be 1000 years old these days). It long predates all of the “sportswashing” etc. happening now. Are there no current examples of artist pushback or is everyone mesmerized by Beyonce’s $24M Dubai payday, hoping for some of that sweet sweet tyrannical oil cash?
