  1. Indie artists are pissed at YouTube over the company’s assertion that it has the right to use their music to train AI.
  2. Modulate is an AI company that says it has a new tool that “helps determine whether music contains AI-generated vocals, instrumentals, or other musical elements.”
  3. Eros Innovation is an Indian label that wants to launch the careers of AI artists. Again, this is a solution to a problem no one has.
  4. A very important read: “Digital replicas, avatars, and NIL rights: Is this the future of music?”
  5. What’s the connection between Trump and Live Nation? This.
  6. The Rolling Stones finally have a podcast.
  7. You know those guys who sell bootleg merch outside venues? They’re starting to be targeted by at least one record label.
  8. This guy is selling his record collection. Wow. Unreleased Bowie, rare Beatles, Pink Floyd test pressings…
  9. The record collection belonging to late guitarist Tom Verlaine is also going up for sale. There are at least 4,000 records here.
