I love the May long weekend. It’s that time of year when the whole summer stretches before us, filled with opportunities and adventure. Let’s make the most of it, shall we? And we can’t forget music news for May 19, 2025, can we?

  1. This is hysterical. Trump apostle Kid Rock had to shut down his Nashville restaurant because he was afraid ICE was going to raid the kitchen and deport all his undocumented workers.
  2. Joe Rogan likes Kanye’s new Hitler-praising song because of course he does.
  3. There’s an initiative in the UK called “Own Our Venues,” a grassroots project designed to protect small music venues. They’ve already acquired five places and are operating them under community ownership. Read about it here.
