  • If the van is what I think it is (sorry, real fans!), it’s an Eddie Van Halen thing? The only reason I know this is because about 20 years ago – but probably more, someone was taking plain converse and doing that effect on them and selling them online. They looked really amazing. I bookmarked them, planning to go back later but only did *really* later and the site was no more. I probably have the URL on a backup somewhere if I dug hard enough so it could probably be found on the wayback machine but pictures are pretty rare when you have to go back that far. There are a few sites I visit when I’m feeling nostalgic and missing those days. It’s bittersweet.

    Someone like Vans should do a design like that and donate the money to charity or something. (I have no idea of copyrights on that look..I just liked the look and know nothing about the meaning or intent behind it.)
