  4. YouTube is talking with record labels over new AI tools that may involve licensing and cloning of popular artists’ music.
  5. In the US, it’s now estimated that 10% of all TV viewing (not phone or tablet or computer) goes to YouTube.
  6. Apple Podcasts has a new “chapters” function.
  7. The Australian mint has issued a Bon Scott coin.
  8. Hamilton, Ontario’s Supercrawl Festival has announced its 2024 lineup. It’s good.
  9. The Weeknd is the first Canadian artist to have seven certified Diamond singles.
  10. Interesting: 55% of people in the Nordic countries now subscribe to a streaming music service.
  11. TikTok is testing an Instagram rival called Whee. It’s available in Canada–but there’s no marketing behind it. No wonder no one has heard of it.

  13. This is my worst radio nightmare. I’ve been having dreams like this for decades.
  14. Speaking of radio nightmares, Casey Kasem is buried in an unmarked grave in Norway. His children want him exhumed and brought back to the States.
